Craft store peeving…
So, it was time to hit the craft store today, to stock up on supplies for some new stitching projects. I headed off to Michael’s for floss, fabric and needles. I was able to find some of what I needed, but not all and I returned home a bit irritated. Here are my peeves:
1. I prefer to stitch on 16 count fabric. EVERY pack of fabric, no matter the size, color or brand that they had (and they didn’t have many let me tell you) was 14, 18 or 22… with the exception of ONE roll of white 16 count. ONE! In a crafting “superstore”. Stupitt.
2. They didn’t have 5 colors that I needed for the two projects that I’m planning, and the one large ongoing “monster” project that I’ve been working on for a while. This might not seem like a lot, since there are like 450 DMC floss colors… But really Michael’s? Again, crafting superstore? Not. This exacerbated by the fact that I’ve been back twice for a couple of the colors and they still don’t have them in stock.
